Sensitive-data disclosure via weak CouchDB credentials
Published Jul 19, 2023 · Updated Oct 28, 2024
Improper authentication in IBM Planning Analytics Cartridge for IBM Cloud Pak for Data 4.0 allows remote attackers to read CouchDB data. The cartridge connects to CouchDB under a password policy that permits unauthorized database access instead of rejecting weak credentials. No account or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is database confidentiality loss without data modification or service interruption.
