Information disclosure in IBM Storage Virtualize 8.5 allows remote attackers to obtain IBMid credentials during Fix Central downloads. The satask downloadsoftware command and the GUI's Obtain the package directly path handle IBMid authentication material in a way that can expose it while the transfer is active; IBM has not published the exact faulty operation. Exposure requires a direct package download through one of those paths, and the reported consequence is limited to disclosure of the credentials used for that transfer.
