Logger injection in the JDBC driver in IBM Db2 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The driver accepts an untrusted traceFile property that selects the file receiving logger output without adequate validation. IBM has not disclosed the additional driver functionality or reproduction steps that convert the unchecked trace destination into code execution.
