CVE-2023-27861Network attack vector

Sensitive-data interception via cleartext transmission

Published Jun 5, 2023 · Updated Jan 8, 2025

Cleartext transmission in IBM Maximo Application Suite Manage 8.8.0 and 8.9.0 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read sensitive data. The Manage component sends sensitive information without transport encryption, exposing it to interception while it crosses an untrusted network. Exploitation requires a network position that permits traffic interception; the published impact is data disclosure, with no integrity or availability impact.
