Arbitrary file deletion via path traversal
Published Apr 13, 2023 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Path traversal in Bloofox CMS 0.5.2 allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary server files through crafted HTTP POST requests. The affected path invokes delete_file() when send and deletepic POST fields are set and demo mode is disabled, without restricting traversal into a parent directory. Network access to the affected web page is sufficient; successful requests can remove files accessible to the web-server process, causing data loss or service interruption.
