Device crash via EditSTList stack overflow
Published Apr 7, 2023 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
Stack overflow in H3C Magic R100 firmware R100V100R005 allows remote authenticated users to crash the device via a crafted request. The EditSTList handler at /goform/aspForm processes an oversized crafted payload without enforcing the destination stack buffer bounds. Administrative privileges are required, and the documented consequence is a device service interruption rather than data disclosure or modification.
