CVE-2023-27748Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via unsigned firmware upload

Published Apr 13, 2023 · Updated Feb 7, 2025

Firmware authenticity failure in BlackVue DR750-2CH LTE 1.012_2022.10.26 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via FOTA. The updater accepts a repacked patch_DR750LTE.bin or fwupgrade.tgz after only a reproducible SUE checksum, without verifying a vendor signature. The unauthenticated FOTA service on TCP port 9771 accepts the crafted image from the same LAN or exposed LTE, and installed backdoors persist after official firmware is reflashed.
