Authenticated SQL injection via concatenated rank values
Published Mar 16, 2023 · Updated Feb 26, 2025
SQL injection in DedeCMS 5.7.106 allows remote authenticated users to execute database queries through a crafted rank_* value. When action=uprank, story_catalog.php concatenates POST values whose keys contain rank_ directly into an UPDATE statement passed to mysqli_query without neutralization. Exploitation requires an administrator backend session, PHP 5 or earlier, MySQL 5.5 or earlier, and at least one story record; the blind timing oracle supports database extraction or modification.
