Authenticated file deletion via path traversal
Published Mar 28, 2023 · Updated Feb 18, 2025
Path traversal in MuYuCMS 2.2 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary server files through the sqldel.html endpoint. The endpoint treats the submitted name value as a filesystem path without rejecting traversal segments, as demonstrated by a ../../test.txt request. Backend access is required; deletion can alter site content or interrupt the service, while the published assessment reports no confidentiality impact.
