Stored XSS via unfiltered advertisement introduction
Published May 17, 2023 · Updated Nov 22, 2024
Stored XSS in Sucms 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's browser through the intro field. The admin_ads.php advertisement editor stores the intro parameter without the filtering applied to adjacent fields, then renders it as active content. Administrative access is required to submit the request, and a victim must view the saved advertisement for the script to run in that browser.
