Unauthenticated file disclosure via unchecked SVG path

Published Jun 1, 2023 · Updated Jan 9, 2025

Path traversal in tshirtecommerce Custom Product Designer 2.1.4 for PrestaShop allows remote attackers to read XML-parseable files via HTTP. The getSVG path in includes/functions.php joins the POST-controlled file_name value to a directory and opens the resulting path without canonicalizing it or confining it to the module directory. No authentication or user interaction is required, and in-the-wild exploitation has been reported; disclosure is limited to files accessible to the web process and accepted by the XML parser.
