Authenticated code execution via Sqoop parameters
Published Aug 28, 2023 · Updated Sep 27, 2024
Improper input validation in Apache Airflow Sqoop Provider before 4.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via connections. SqoopHook builds a Sqoop command from connection fields and extra options without rejecting query parameters in the completed --connect string. Creating or editing Airflow connections is required, and successful exploitation runs code with Airflow server permissions.
