CVE-2023-27574

Local code injection via release debugging entitlement

Published Mar 3, 2023 · Updated Mar 6, 2025

Code-signing flaw in ShadowsocksX-NG 1.10.0 allows local users to inject code into the application process at runtime. The release build enables CODE_SIGNING_INJECT_BASE_ENTITLEMENTS, leaving com.apple.security.get-task-allow in the signed app instead of stripping the debugging entitlement. Exploitation requires local code execution on the Mac; the consequence is code execution inside the application process.
