Session script execution via unescaped page parameter
Published Apr 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 10, 2025
Reflected XSS in CommScope Arris DG3450 AR01.02.056.18_041520_711.NCS.10 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted URL. The https_redirect.php page places the page query value into a JavaScript string without sufficient escaping, so quotes terminate the string and introduce script. Exploitation requires a victim to visit the manipulated gateway URL, after which the script runs in the victim's session and can perform session-authorized actions or read accessible data.
