Path traversal in n8n 0.218.0 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files through crafted REST requests. The credential-translation route joins unchecked credentialType input into a JSON path, while the binary-data route joins an unchecked identifier to its storage path. Authentication is required, and access is limited to files readable by the n8n process; GitHub separately lists versions before 0.216.1 as affected.
