CVE-2023-27559Network attack vector

Server crash via specially crafted subquery

Published Apr 26, 2023 · Updated Nov 21, 2024

Denial of service in IBM Db2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5 allows remote authenticated users to crash the server. The SQL processing path accepts a specially crafted subquery and reaches a server-crashing condition; IBM has withheld the affected functionality and replication details. Low privileges and network reachability are required; successful exploitation interrupts database availability without reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
