CVE-2023-27523Network attack vector

Authenticated cross-table disclosure via Jinja queries

Published Sep 6, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024

Incorrect authorization in Jinja-templated queries in Apache Superset 2.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to query unauthorized tables. Apache has not published the specific function or authorization check that fails when Superset resolves tables referenced by a rendered template. Exploitation requires an authenticated account and enabled template processing, and it exposes table data readable through Superset's database connection.
