Authenticated OS command execution via mail settings
Published May 23, 2023 · Updated Jan 31, 2025
OS command injection in CONTEC SolarView Compact models before 8.10 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary OS commands. The mail settings page fails to validate HTTP request data before using it in an operating-system command, allowing injected syntax to change what the system executes. Access to an authenticated web session is required; successful exploitation permits data theft or modification and destruction of the monitoring system.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=SV-CPT-MC310 versions prior to Ver.8.10, and SV-CPT-MC310F versions prior to Ver.8.10
