CVE-2023-27518Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via settings-page buffer overflow

Published May 23, 2023 · Updated Jan 31, 2025

Buffer overflow in SolarView Compact SV-CPT-MC310 and SV-CPT-MC310F before 8.10 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. CONTEC has not disclosed which settings-page handler overruns its buffer, which input reaches it, or the incorrect memory operation. An authenticated network session is required, and successful exploitation can alter data, disclose data, or interrupt the controller.
