CVE-2023-27507Network attack vector

Arbitrary file execution via upload path traversal

Published May 23, 2023 · Updated Jan 31, 2025

Path traversal in MicroEngine Mailform 1.1.0 through 1.1.8 allows remote attackers to write and execute arbitrary server files. The server-save path handling fails to confine an attacker-controlled upload path to the intended directory; no function name is public. Exploitation requires file uploads and config.ini save_file=1, enabling arbitrary file placement and execution with web-server permissions.
