Information disclosure and service interruption via stack overflow
Published Mar 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Memory corruption in SAP Host Agent 7.22 allows remote attackers to disclose server details and interrupt SAPOSCOL via a crafted request. SAPOSCOL request handling writes crafted input beyond a stack buffer, corrupting memory. Network access to the assigned SAP Start Service port is sufficient; the issue exposes technical server information without modification and temporarily interrupts only the affected service.
