Restricted-data disclosure via unchecked read-query permissions
Published Mar 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Missing authorization in the client query handler in Siemens RUGGEDCOM CROSSBOW before 5.3 allows remote authenticated users to read restricted data. The handler executes specific read queries without checking whether the authenticated account has permission to access the requested records. A valid account and network reachability are required, and successful exploitation discloses only data outside that account's assigned authorization scope.
