Database data extraction via unescaped type parameter
Published Jun 27, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
SQL injection in HappyMonster WP ERP before 1.12.4 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to read database data. The people REST endpoint inserts the unsanitized type parameter into a SQL statement without sufficient escaping or query preparation. Administrator-level access is required; injected clauses can extract sensitive database information, and the public proof of concept demonstrates a time delay.
