Admin-level script execution via unescaped STR fields
Published Jun 19, 2023 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Stored XSS in QuantumCloud WPBot before 4.5.5 allows remote authenticated users with admin access to execute script through STR fields. The Simple Text Responses Query, Keyword, and Intent values accept quote-breaking event-handler markup and render it back without sanitization or output escaping, causing the handler to run when a pointer enters a field. Administrator-level access is required to save the settings; successful exploitation runs script in the browser of a user who views the stored fields.
