Heap-based buffer overflow in Siemens SCALANCE LPE9403 before 2.1 allows remote authenticated users to crash edgebox_web_app. edgebox_web_app accepts a backup password longer than 255 characters and writes beyond its heap buffer, terminating the process. Administrative access to the web interface is required; the documented consequence is interruption of that binary, not device-wide failure.
