Browser script execution via unescaped name parameter
Published May 16, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Guest Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute browser script via the name parameter. dateTest.php inserts the GET name value into the response without neutralizing HTML or script syntax, so a crafted URL executes in the page origin. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted URL and can expose browser-accessible session data or perform actions allowed by that origin.
