Inadequate encryption in CONTEC CONPROSYS IoT Gateway firmware allows remote authenticated users to install malicious firmware. The update package exposes encryption material through its bundled install script, allowing firmware images to be decrypted, altered, and repackaged. Administrative access to the web update function is required; a crafted image can execute code, alter data, or render the appliance inoperable.
