Root code execution via untrusted executable files
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Remote code execution in lighttpd on NETGEAR RAX30 before 1.0.10.94 allows network-adjacent attackers to execute code as root. The HTTP server configuration permits execution of files from untrusted sources instead of restricting executable content to trusted files. Exploitation requires the WiFi password or an Ethernet connection to the router network, but no router-administration credentials.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
