Code execution via unvalidated SOAP SQL construction
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in SOAP request handling in NETGEAR RAX30 1.0.9.90_3 allows network-adjacent attackers to execute code without authentication. The SOAP handler inserts a user-supplied string into an SQL query without validation, allowing injected SQL to run in the service account's context. The attacker must have the WiFi password or an Ethernet connection, and code execution requires chaining this flaw with other vulnerabilities.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
