CVE-2023-27352

Root code execution via SMB object use-after-free

Published Apr 20, 2023 · Updated Feb 5, 2025

Use-after-free in libsmb2 on Sonos One 70.3-35220 allows network-adjacent attackers to execute code as root via an SMB query. SMB directory-query processing operates on an object without first validating that it still exists, leaving freed memory accessible.
