Information disclosure via invalid TIF object access
Published May 3, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Use-after-free in PDF-XChange Editor 9.4.363.0 allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information through a crafted TIF file. Its TIF parser performs operations on an object without first validating that the object still exists, dereferencing freed memory. Exploitation requires the target to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page; the standalone consequence is information disclosure, while code execution requires chaining with another flaw.
