Improper initialization in the Parallels Desktop Updater service before 18.1.0 allows local users to execute arbitrary code as root. The privileged service fails to initialize environment variables before using them during update execution, leaving their values able to influence root-context operations. Exploitation requires prior ability to execute low-privileged code on the macOS host and grants arbitrary code execution with root privileges.
