Improper privilege management in NetApp SnapCenter 4.8 through 4.9 allows remote authenticated users to gain administrator access on plug-in hosts. NetApp has not published the affected function or privilege-validation error that permits a server user to acquire host administrator rights. Exploitation requires an authenticated SnapCenter Server account and an installed plug-in on the target host; resulting administrator rights permit full host control.
