Plaintext credential storage in NetApp SnapGathers before 4.9 allows local users to read domain user credentials. NetApp maps the flaw to plaintext password storage but has not disclosed which file, log, memory area, or data structure retains the credentials. An authenticated local account is required, and the disclosed consequence is limited to credential confidentiality.
