Stored XSS via unescaped SERP preview fields
Published May 16, 2023 · Updated Jan 22, 2025
Stored XSS in Pimcore before 10.3.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript via a crafted Document title. The Document settings script inserts title and description values into the SERP preview without HTML escaping. Exploitation requires a backend account and another user to view the poisoned preview; the script can read or alter data available to that user's session.
