Authenticated service interruption via crafted echo requests
Published Mar 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Resource exhaustion in affected CL_HTTP_EXT_ECHO releases allows remote authenticated users to interrupt SAP NetWeaver AS for ABAP service. The HTTP handler processes crafted parameter values until server resources are exhausted, producing large response delays and service interruption. Non-administrative access is sufficient; the documented consequence is limited to availability, with no ability to read or modify information.
