Browser script execution via unneutralized client surname
Published Mar 27, 2023 · Updated Feb 19, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Water Billing System 1.0 allows remote attackers to expose a user's cookie via a client surname. The addclient1.php endpoint accepts an encoded script in the lname field, and the Add Client flow executes it in the browser without neutralization. Execution requires user interaction with the crafted client data and permits access to browser-readable cookies and modification of displayed page content.
