Remote command execution via unsanitized lanip parameter
Published Mar 15, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Command injection in Tenda AX3 firmware 16.03.12.11 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through a crafted lanip parameter. The /goform/AdvSetLanip handler fails to sanitize the lanip value before using it to construct a command. Network access to the router interface is sufficient, and successful exploitation grants control of the device for botnet activity.
