Authenticated SQL injection via unvalidated sort direction
Published May 17, 2023 · Updated Jan 22, 2025
SQL injection in Piwigo before 13.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute database queries through admin/user_list_backend.php. The obsolete administrative backend incorporates the attacker-controlled order[0][dir] sort direction into an SQL statement as executable syntax. A valid account and access to that backend are required; successful exploitation can read or alter database data.
