Unauthenticated source disclosure via exposed backup archives
Published Apr 7, 2023 · Updated Feb 12, 2025
Source code disclosure in GDidees CMS 3.9.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to download server files through the backup feature. A request to /_admin/backup.php creates a ZIP archive of the web root in the publicly reachable /_db-backups directory without enforcing access control. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the archive exposes application source, database credentials, private files, and potentially files from other hosted applications.
