Unauthenticated file disclosure via path traversal
Published Apr 11, 2023 · Updated Feb 11, 2025
Path traversal in GDidees CMS 3.9.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files via a crafted HTTP request. The unauthenticated /_admin/imgdownload.php endpoint uses the filename query parameter as a file path without blocking traversal sequences. No administrative session is required, so any network client that can reach the endpoint can retrieve readable local files, including configuration data.
