CVE-2023-27178Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted .phar upload

Published Apr 10, 2023 · Updated Feb 11, 2025

Unrestricted file upload in GDidees CMS 3.9.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code through the CKFinder upload form. Roxy Fileman 1.4.6, embedded under the CKFinder component, accepts .phar files because its upload restrictions do not forbid that executable extension. No authentication or user interaction is required; when the web server interprets the uploaded .phar file as PHP, its contents execute with the server process's privileges.
