Administrator-level script execution via unsanitized labels
Published Oct 23, 2023 · Updated Sep 11, 2024
Stored XSS in Enhancesoft osTicket 1.17.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through a custom-list Label field. The administrative list editor stores the Label value without adequate sanitization and later renders it in the items view, where event-handler markup executes. Administrator access is required to save the payload, and another user must interact with the affected page; execution occurs in that user's browser context.
