Stored script execution via unsanitized platform name
Published Mar 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 27, 2025
Stored XSS in TotalJS OpenPlatform commit b80b09d allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through the platform name. The settings workflow stores HTML event-handler markup in the platform name without neutralization, and the login page renders the payload after logout. The attacker must first authenticate and reach setup settings, while execution occurs only when a browser later renders the saved name.
