Administrator-browser script execution via unescaped generated URLs
Published Jul 17, 2023 · Updated Oct 30, 2024
Reflected XSS in Rocketgenius Gravity Forms before 2.7.5 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The plugin inserts a generated administration-page URL into an HTML attribute without escaping a crafted search value carried in that URL. Exploitation requires a high-privileged user to open the attacker-crafted URL while authenticated, enabling script execution with that user's browser privileges.
