Stored XSS via unsanitized ticket tags
Published Mar 29, 2023 · Updated Feb 18, 2025
Stored XSS in Trudesk 1.2.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in a browser through a crafted ticket tag. The /api/v1/tags/create endpoint accepts active iframe markup in the tag parameter, stores it, and renders it as executable content in the ticket interface. An account with user, support, or administrator privileges must create and save the tag, and browser interaction with the affected ticket triggers the script.
