Authenticated XSS via unsanitized name parameter
Published May 14, 2023 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site scripting in SourceCodester ICT Laboratory Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to affect browser content via the name parameter. The views/room_info.php GET handler reflects the name value into the response without neutralizing script markup, enabling reflected XSS when a victim loads a crafted URL. Exploitation requires a user with the permissions reflected by the CVSS record and victim interaction; impact is primarily unauthorized script execution in the victim's application context.
