Database data disclosure via unchecked history filter
Published Apr 21, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
SQL injection in Piwigo 13.5.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read database data through the administrative history page. The history page accepts filter_user_id from a GET request without validation and incorporates it into an SQL query, allowing UNION payload output to appear in the filter_image_id response value. A valid session with administrative history access is required; published testing demonstrates database-version and sensitive-data retrieval, but not code execution.
