Authenticated script execution via unescaped classification name
Published May 31, 2023 · Updated Jan 9, 2025
Stored XSS in OptionManager.php in ChurchCRM 4.5.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. OptionManager.php stores the Name for New Classification value without neutralizing injected HTML attribute syntax, then renders it so an autofocus handler executes. Low-privileged access is required to submit the value, and another user's browser must render the stored classification; script then runs in that user's session.
