Script execution via unsanitized login username
Published Apr 5, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Reflected XSS in Veritas NetBackup OpsCenter 9.1.0.1 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via a crafted login URL. The login.spring endpoint reflects the userName GET parameter into the login form without adequately sanitizing special characters. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted URL; injected code runs in the affected site's browser context and can read or alter accessible page data.
